Farmer’s Markets We Love
When it comes to filling your road trip itinerary, farmer’s markets are one of those “more bang for your buck” destinations. They’re a great way to get some fresh air, grab a hot meal, stock up on fresh food for your RV kitchen, and maybe even catch some live music.
We compiled a few of our favorite farmer’s market destinations for you. If you’re visiting any of these cities, don’t skip the farmer’s market experience!
St. Paul Farmer’s Market
St. Paul, MN
If you’re heading to or through the land of lakes this summer, put the St. Paul Farmer’s Market on your must-see list. While most farmer’s markets boast vendors from the area they’re in, the St. Paul Farmer’s Market requires it, allowing “only fresh, locally grown produce to be sold–directly from the grower to the consumer.” Meaning you’re getting a true taste of the region.
See you in St. Paul!
Charleston Farmer’s Market
Charleston, SC
Another great open-air market, Charleston’s bountiful farmer’s market features all the locally grown produce and fresh-cut flowers you could want, as well as vendors serving breakfast and lunch items. In addition, each market features local live entertainment as well as area art and craft vendors, making for a well-rounded vacation experience.

Portland Farmer’s Market
Portland, OR
If you’re an RV full of foodies, this might be the farmer’s market for you. Portland’s food-forward PSU Market combines all the usual fresh-and-local produce, meat, and dairy suspects with vendors selling everything from Chutney and Hummus to Cashew Cheese and CBD products. Chef demos and live music haven’t returned quite yet, but keep an eye on COVID restrictions to see if the calendar changes!

Findlay Market
Cincinnati, OH
Whether you’re camping in Ohio or across the river in Kentucky, Findlay Market should be added to your vacation agenda. This massive outdoor market space features a hearty collection of “more than 50 full-time merchants selling meat, fish, poultry, produce, flowers, cheese, deli, ethnic foods and more.” And on weekends, they roll out the proper farmer’s market as well as entertainment and special events.
